Rick Case Honda Powersports is very serious about safety. Rider safety, passenger safety and motorcycle awareness are all large parts of their business. This is why they are proud to offer the class at no charge to their new motorcycle customers and at a minimal amount to their used motorcycle customers.

Classroom sessions are conducted at Rick Case Honda Powersports in Davie, while the riding portion is held at our MTII Miami-Dade College North Training Center.

Rick Case Honda Powersports offers use of their facilities and provides motorcycles for the course. You will also have an opportunity to explore the Dealer Experience Tour, a brief look at what makes Rick Case Honda Powersports a unique part of motorcycling.

Basic RiderCourse

The Basic Rider Course is a research-based and action-oriented core curriculum designed to teach beginning motorcyclists of all ages the physical and mental skills necessary to ride safely on the street. It includes basic motorcycle operation, maximum effective braking techniques, turning skills, obstacle avoidance maneuvers, classroom instruction and ten hours of "on cycle" training.

RiderCoaches for the program are all experienced motorcycle operators who are nationally certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). Student workbooks, helmets and motorcycles are provided by MTII.
